| This Bronze Age barrow cemetery is particularly important because
the finds of gold and amber (discovered last century) which came from
this site have their closest comparisons with the grand cemeteries
of Wessex. |

| A topographic and geophysics survey was undertaken last year and identified anomalies relating to now invisible barrows, ditches and pits with probable burnt material in them. Jane Downes, with Nick Card and a small team will investigate a range of these this summer, whilst leaving the huge barrows upstanding. | |
