| They lie chocked up and ready to go. It is rare in Orkney
to find quarrying places where the flag rock has sufficiently few lateral
faults to get great lengths of stone. Just above the site is a chambered
cairn, and below is a prehistoric enclosure. Dr Colin Richards, who is an expert on Orkney's Neolithic, will attempt to find the answers to the question this summer. |
