Crantit Tomb Excavation - Online Journal

Since its discovery in May 1998, when a tractor broke through the roof of a stone built chamber under a field at Crantit Farm in Orkney, this apparently undisturbed neolithic tomb has promised the answers to many questions about Neolithic times.

The excavation of this amazing discovery was undertaken by Glasgow University for Historic Scotland and you can read what happened during the excavation in the journals.
